Chouji chuckles before replying, "We can save the actual date for the dance, and if you'd like a picnic or something next week, maybe we could cook together?" He wouldn't mind doing all the cooking himself, but Chouji would never turn down Prim's help or company if she's willing to offer it.
Still smiling as he nods, Chouji tells her, "Then it would be pretty silly of me to object, wouldn't it?" Chouji doesn't know about decorating his locker, but he's likely to have one of those pictures framed and in his room within a day of receiving it.
"I wouldn't mind a picnic next week! Especially the cooking together part. You know your cooking is my favorite." She grinned, at that. ...And she liked cooking, too, really. It was sort of calming to be in the same kitchen as someone you liked and trusted, too.
"It might be a little bit. So it's just as well you're not objecting!"
"Great, then! I'm looking forward to it." He grins and blushes slightly at the compliment. "I'm glad you enjoy my cooking. That makes it worthwhile."
He considers it. All dates with Prim are wonderful, but something about the effort involved makes cooking for her his favorite kind. The only thing better is when she helps cook. "Any special requests, things I should pick up from the grocery store?"
"Of course I do. I think you're a better cook than I am - for now. I'll catch you up someday, you know! So look out." It's a teasing warning, of course - though she does intend to try to improve, as much as she can, always.
"Anything you want to get is all right with me - you know I'll eat anything. But this season...perhaps some fruit would be nice? If we can get any."
He laughs. "If you ever become a better cook than me, I just hope you'll let me eat your cooking. I don't think I could possibly hold it against you if it comes with that benefit." Chouji has never been as competitive as some people he could name, and he certainly wouldn't mind Prim showing him up in something. Especially not if it's delicious.
"I'm sure I can manage that. We might even have something ripe at home, and I can bypass the grocery store entirely."
"Of course I would. You'd get first dibs." She's not too competitive herself - except for teasing purposes. It's why she absolutely doesn't mind being shown up at the moment. ...Especially if it's delicious, yes.
