"After school, if possible. And after practice, if there's any today, but...if you're too tired around then, it's okay, too. We're - well, Bulla's - pretty good at conscription." She grins, a bit sheepish at the admission. Really, she just tends to ask - but Bulla has a way with words, rather.
Primrose doesn't even hesitate to take Chouji's hands, lacing her fingers through his with a shy little smile. "Though I should warn you: my parents won't let me out of the house with you until we've gone through a trial by fire in the form of photographs. A lot of them."
He shrugs. Practice is tiring, yes, but finding the energy to do Prim a favor is never difficult. "I'm sure I can manage to move some furniture. I'll meet you after practice."
And pictures were always a given. "Good. If I tell Luke, Ami, and Trisha, they won't insist on the same before I leave mine. I'd rather get it over with all at once." While he doesn't really like being the center of attention, Chouji will freely admit he wants a picture of the pair of them for himself. On that note, he tells her, "I don't mind, as long as I get a copy of one or two."
"It's a date, then!" She pauses, before giggling. "Well - not an actual date, since I'd hope I could come up with something better than moving chairs, but...you know what I meant."
"I think you'd be hard-pressed to get away without a copy or two of the photographs - I expect my parents will make lots of those." Prim doesn't mind that, either. She'd like a photograph or two of that time, and she's not at all bothered by admitting it. She might even put it in her locker, for the few days that will last.
Chouji chuckles before replying, "We can save the actual date for the dance, and if you'd like a picnic or something next week, maybe we could cook together?" He wouldn't mind doing all the cooking himself, but Chouji would never turn down Prim's help or company if she's willing to offer it.
Still smiling as he nods, Chouji tells her, "Then it would be pretty silly of me to object, wouldn't it?" Chouji doesn't know about decorating his locker, but he's likely to have one of those pictures framed and in his room within a day of receiving it.
"I wouldn't mind a picnic next week! Especially the cooking together part. You know your cooking is my favorite." She grinned, at that. ...And she liked cooking, too, really. It was sort of calming to be in the same kitchen as someone you liked and trusted, too.
"It might be a little bit. So it's just as well you're not objecting!"
"Great, then! I'm looking forward to it." He grins and blushes slightly at the compliment. "I'm glad you enjoy my cooking. That makes it worthwhile."
He considers it. All dates with Prim are wonderful, but something about the effort involved makes cooking for her his favorite kind. The only thing better is when she helps cook. "Any special requests, things I should pick up from the grocery store?"
"Of course I do. I think you're a better cook than I am - for now. I'll catch you up someday, you know! So look out." It's a teasing warning, of course - though she does intend to try to improve, as much as she can, always.
"Anything you want to get is all right with me - you know I'll eat anything. But this season...perhaps some fruit would be nice? If we can get any."
He laughs. "If you ever become a better cook than me, I just hope you'll let me eat your cooking. I don't think I could possibly hold it against you if it comes with that benefit." Chouji has never been as competitive as some people he could name, and he certainly wouldn't mind Prim showing him up in something. Especially not if it's delicious.
"I'm sure I can manage that. We might even have something ripe at home, and I can bypass the grocery store entirely."
"Of course I would. You'd get first dibs." She's not too competitive herself - except for teasing purposes. It's why she absolutely doesn't mind being shown up at the moment. ...Especially if it's delicious, yes.
